OXYGEN LAUNCHES NEW UK AND IRELAND PROPERTY FACILITY AND GROWS AGENCY TEAMS

Richard Wise, Head of UK and Ireland Property, Oxygen Insurance Managers.

London, 3rd August 2007 – Oxygen Insurance Managers (Oxygen), the London intermediary’s agency operation, has launched a new UK and Ireland property facility which is to be headed up by Richard Wise, currently Managing Director of Alec Finch (London) Ltd.  

He will be responsible for the development of this new facility, which will focus on developing specialist schemes with coverholders in the UK and Irish markets and will work closely with the other agency specialist liability teams, on trade and regional schemes. The new facility is placed in the Lloyds market and led by Hardy, Syndicate 382.

Richard has held underwriting facilities for the Lloyd’s and company market for a number of years.

Commenting on Richard’s appointment and the new facility, Sian Fisher, Head of Oxygen Insurance Managers Ltd, said: “We are delighted to welcome Richard. The agency operation has experienced strong growth and we are now working with over 80 coverholders world-wide. Richard’s experience will be vital in the success of the new facility and in continuing to grow this area of the business.”

Richard’s appointment follows further expansion of the agency teams. Sunjay Patel, previously with QBE Insurance (Europe), has been recruited to the extended warranty and GAP business and Richard Morris, previously with WürttUK, has been recruited to further develop the specie business.
