Acts on behalf of insurance carriers

Oxygen has positioned itself in this Insurance Intermediary sector, and has therefore established two separate operating companies to reflect very clearly when we act on behalf of policyholders (Oxygen Insurance Brokers Ltd), and when we are acting on behalf of insurance carriers (Oxygen Insurance Managers Ltd).

Each of these two Oxygen operating entities has it’s own Board of Directors, and each is separately regulated by the FSA. Oxygen teams operate either as a broker, or as an agent, never as both. When a situation arises where Oxygen Insurance Broking places business with an Oxygen Insurance Managers team, suitable protocols have been established to recognize the different responsibilities. This includes, for instance, the disclosure to the policyholder of any commission earned by Oxygen and a justification to the policyholder as to why the use of Oxygen Insurance Managers is in their best interest.
